Bourjois Paris Foundation & Powder // Review

I saw alot of youtubers, bloggers and other people talking about this duo and I was really struggling to find a foundation that worked with my skin and lasted a long time. I then found this and instantly fell in love!

I use the Healthy Mix Foundation, which doesn't dry you skin out, leaves your skin feeling hydrated and lasts the whole school day, which is impressive as my skin can get very oily!

I then use the Healthy Balance Powder, which really sets everything in place and I just top it up at lunch time, on my T-Zone and it lasts all day!

The great thing is, is that this duo works together, it doesn't smudge, doesn't disappear and doesn't go patchy unlike most skin products that I have used! Also I can get red skin and this really helps to hide it.

I also found a shade, that matches my skin colour exactly which is rare! I'am shade 52 Vanilla, in both the foundation and powder.

These are also at the drug-store so they are in-expensive and they seem to last a really long time!

What products do you use to create your base? Have you tried these products? Let me know in the comments below!

Benefit World Famous Neutrals // Review

I bought this eye shadow set, quite a while ago however it has lasted ages and i've only just hit the pan on 2 of the eye shadows!

This kit can take you from day to night, and you can do a wide range of looks, this consists of 6 eyeshadows, 4 powders and 2 cream eyeshadows.
You can use any of them together and you can always create a glamorous look! This is good for people just starting off with makeup and the more advanced.

My favourite look is to use one of the cream eyeshadows 'birthday suit' over the whole lid, 'call my buff' in the inner corner and 'gilt-y pleasure' in the middle of the eye lid. This creates a simple look, but glamorous!

There are lots of different looks you can do, and they last for ages and they are all very pigmented and you don't need a lot! Make sure you go and check it out!

Staying Organised // GSCE School Life

So I started my GSCES in September, when I first started, I was very organised, had little idea what I was doing and thought it would be like the first 2 years, I was wrong.

As its a new year, I wanted to get organised, so I did a few things to help me.

First of all I got a planner for school, are school no longer supplies these, so I wanted one, to keep track. Admittedly I have been bad with it, but now I rely on it, to make sure I meet all my deadlines. One week is spread over 2 pages so I keep one side for school and one side for social life! I wouldn't be without it!

I then got a really nice notebook, that I was given as a present but it is such a lovely print, that I just love using it! I use this for any ideas or thoughts I have, from blogging, to school work, to what I do in my spare time. I keep this with me at all times so I always have somewhere to write things down!

I then got sticky notes! I didn't want the boring ones, I wanted cool design ones which I would actually use. I got some from Paperchase and some from a little shop (I cant remember where!). I use these all the time, to write little notes and to remind me of things! These are defiantly a essential!

What do you use to keep organised?
I hope this inspired you!

Hello Flawless!

Hello Flawless, how are you?
Benefit have a powder foundation called, Hello Flawless! This is a high coverage powder for the face.
I have had this for a while, but when I first got it, I didn't use it for ages as it didn't appeal to me, but now when looking back I think how stupid I was! This is the perfect powder, you can wear it alone or as a setting powder.
It comes with a little sponge, and a brush. When wearing it alone without anything else I will use the sponge and cover it all over my face, this doesn't need concealer as it covers all my blemishes.
When wearing it as a setting powder over my bodyshop BB Cream, I use a contour brush and cover my face, paying particular attention to my T Zone.
If going to a party or in need of very high coverage, after doing all my makeup, I will then use the sponge and cover my whole face, If you would like to see how this looks, head over to my instagram (@darceyking) and look for the pictures when I was at Jade & Beths party - the most recent selfies!).
Eventhough it is high end, it lasts a very long time and is worth every penny, I would defiantly go and check it out, in your local Benefit Cosmetics Store.
What powder do you use?
See you soon,

Bodyshop Skincare // Review

I have Bodyshop Makeup, which I love alot, but I also have skincare, I also love this alot.
I have the body scrub, bodywash and body butter, all in the Moringa Scent. This is a very sweet scent, but you can use it all year round, as it also has a nice spice scent to it, I'm not very good at describing scents, so go and check it out as everyone has a different opinion! This is a very popular scent for Bodyshop.
I have the travel size set, but it lasts ages, and fits into your bag really easy. You don't need much at all, a little bit goes along way.
I use the body scrub and body wash in the shower, with a small scrunchie and then use the body butter, once i'm out the shower. Tip: Apply the body butter or moistriser in the same room you have a shower, as the steam will help set it in further!
Its perfect for all skin types and isn't very expensive, so go and check it out and let me know what you think!
What skincare products do you use?
See you soon,

Bodyshop Makeup

Hello,

Recently I haven't been wearing any makeup as I wanted to give my skin a break from always having makeup on and it has made such a difference, my skin is so much better and clearer!
I wanted to treat myself to some good quality makeup as I didn't want to ruin my skin after all this time.

I went to Bodyshop and spoke to one of the staff members and they were really helpful and discussed with me about my skin and what would go best.

I ended up choosing a BB Cream and Concealer. I didn't choose a foundation as I think they can ruin and clog up your skin so easily.

I have mentioned this BB Cream before and it is the 'All in One BB Cream'. I got this in shade 01 and it matches my skin colour really well. This gives light to medium coverage but that is all I need.

I also got a concealer that I have heard about a few times, but not alot and I really wanted to try it. I will be doing a full review once I have used it a couple of times. It is called 'Concealer All in One', it comes in a stick format and its almost like a crayon but blends really easily. I got this in shade '92986', this matches my skin colour really well and works very well with the BB Cream.

I still wont wear makeup every day but when I need to, if i'm going somewhere special then I will just do a very natural look.

Hope you have had a fun weekend!

Love Bomb // Book Review

Hello,
Welcome Back! I had a break from blogging for a while as I became ill, and was in and out of hospital and it turned out I had appendicitis! I no longer, have my appendix and I feel alot better,
so i'm back!

I read Love Bomb a while back, I then re-read it in hospital and I just realised how amazing it really is!

This book was written by Jenny McLachlan and is all about a girl called Betty Plum, who knows nothing about boys and so when a boy comes into her life, she needs help!
Betty faces alot of difficulties, such as losing her mum and not relating to her dad as much as she would like.

Jenny has written this book, so that nearly anyone can relate to it someway or another, the audience is for boys and girls, because of the things Betty faces.

I don't want to give away too much but its defiantly worth the read, and get ready as it comes out in the beginning of March!

I really hope you enjoy this book as much as I do, and let me know what your thoughts of Love Bomb are!

Hope you had a good start to 2015 and I will see you next week!

Lots of Love,
Darcey xx
